Which style should I start with? I love all of them! But the one I spent a tremendous amount of time to construct & design is the KALBARRI HOODIE.

It was worth it. I wear it all the time. In fact I don’t mind this cool summer with my stylish hoodie. I have one in Charcoal Black and one in Cloud Grey. Black feels more comfortable in the evening (it is not a regular sports hoodie) and sometimes I even wear it for casual business meetings. Gray is just a bit sportier, more for the street and studio, like the white one. But I’m not careful enough with my ink pen or my Earl Grey tea to wear anything white!!!!

This Drawing was the first design . . . . .

Initially I tried making a drawstring all around from head to neck to tail and manage it all with one string. But it didn’t work! After trying all kinds of forms I was about to give up……

Starting over again, I worked one long day hands on with my pattern maker Aycan, discussing it also with Cem (my agent - who liked having longer ribbed cuffs). It took Hamsa (my sample maker) another entire day to cut and sew and finalize the details. Finally this design worked!!!! Even in series production it takes a long time to manufacture this style; because it is unusual and a bit complicated.

Of course we’re glad that we did not give up! Thanks to Cem and Aycan for supporting me!

By the way…. we will receive a Panther Pink version of the hoodie very soon. How delicious it would look with Pear Green Yala pants from the collection!
